Job summary

RecargaPay seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to own and modernize our platform stack on AWS, improving developer experience across the delivery lifecycle. You will drive architectural governance, tooling, and automated operations while mentoring senior engineers.

You will translate developer needs into scalable Golden Paths, while advancing security, observability, and cost-efficiency in a remote, AI-driven fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Background in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and TypeScript/Python.
• Experience with DDD and microservices design for high performance.
• Deep knowledge of Bazel build systems.
• Expertise with AWS services: EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, IAM.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform and Pulumi.
• Kubernetes internals and GitOps tooling (Argo/Flux).
• Security and observability practices including OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide medium- and long-term platform architecture for scalable AWS environments.
• Deliver reference implementations and Golden Path templates for high-performance builds.
• Engineer safe CD with GitHub Actions and progressive delivery via Flagger.
• Manage Kubernetes operations using Karpenter and event-driven autoscaling.
• Advance observability with OpenTelemetry and New Relic; set SLIs/SLOs.
• Improve security, secrets management, and policy-driven CI/CD workflows.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering and self-service developer platforms.
