Job summary

Devopsroles is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to scale a security‑first fintech platform on AWS. You will own multi‑region infrastructure, improve resilience, cost efficiency, and developer experience, and drive standardisation with IaC and platform best practices.

You’ll design AWS platforms, build reusable Terraform modules, manage CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with Security to harden the stack across containers and services. Remote‑first setup in the US.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer in AWS environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS services (ECS, EC2, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS).
• Proven Terraform experience and building reusable modules.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tooling.
• Knowledge of Well-Architected Framework and multi-region design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform with reusable modules.
• Operate and optimise AWS services (ECS, EC2, Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy).
• Enhance observability (logging, monitoring, alerting) across distributed systems.
• Implement identity and access controls including SSO and brokering.
• Collaborate with Security on platform hardening and tooling integration.
• Drive cost optimisation (rightsizing, reserved capacity, scaling).
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
