FreedomPay is seeking a Senior SRE/AI Platform Engineer to drive automation, observability, and self-healing systems across a 24/7 payment platform. You will apply AI-assisted tooling to reduce toil, speed incident response, and codify remediation with runbooks.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent or relevant experience.
• 5+ years in high-availability web environments.
• Strong automation mindset with a focus on toil reduction.
• Excellent communication and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain understanding of the platform and stack.
• Implement observability strategies and metrics across products.
• Identify automation opportunities and apply AI-assisted tooling.
• Design, build, and maintain automated remediation and self-healing workflows.
• Leverage AI/ML-driven observability to improve detection and MTTR.
• Use AI-assisted analysis for root-cause investigation and runbooks.
• Handle escalations and collaborate to determine root causes.
• Automate incident response documentation and workflows.
• Assist with troubleshooting failed scheduled jobs and data concerns.
• Champion secure AI tooling adoption across SRE team.
