Job summary

Drawbridge is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure across Windows and Linux endpoints, remote Linux appliances, and Azure cloud services. You will work on CI/CD pipelines, automate repetitive tasks, and partner with development teams to enable secure software releases.

The role emphasizes security-first practices, modernization of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and managing a diverse tech stack including Puppet, Ansible, and containerized

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in systems engineering or platform engineering.
• Linux administration on Ubuntu including packages, services, permissions, filesystems, logging and networking.
• Bash and Linux command-line proficiency.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub pipelines, repositories, environments, and releases.
• Strong knowledge of hybrid Windows/Linux/Azure environments and networking concepts.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code via PowerShell, Bicep, JSON, Terraform or similar.
• Experience with Puppet/Ansible/Salt in production environments.
• SQL Server identity and access management.
• Experience supporting cloud-native microservices and container apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, administer, and maintain Windows and Linux endpoints and cloud services in Azure.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployments via Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Create automation to improve repeatable admin tasks.
• Administer Azure and M365 cloud services.
• Manage remotely deployed Linux appliances and Docker fleet at client sites using configuration management.
• Maintain and enhance system security posture.
• Monitor and optimize system performance.
• Develop procedures for troubleshooting software/hardware issues.
• Support development teams with releases and deployments.
• Serve as escalation path for internal staff and contractors.
