Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a Platform Engineer to own AWS infrastructure for Placekey's production API, with emphasis on scale, reliability, and security. This remote role covers U.S. regions and near-term modernization efforts.

The successful candidate will own day-to-day operations, harden the environment, and influence architectural decisions while working with Scala and Rust services and Kubernetes-based deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of platform/cloud infrastructure experience.
• Production Kubernetes experience; EKS preferred.
• Managed Postgres experience (backup, recovery, tuning).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skilled.
• Strong networking knowledge.
• Proficient in Python and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day platform operations and incident response.
• Harden and evolve the new infrastructure environment.
• Provide input on architectural direction and tooling choices.
