Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer – Observability to design, build, and operate scalable observability capabilities used by thousands of engineers. You will work with telemetry pipelines, onboarding automation, and unified data through metrics, logs, and traces.

You will anchor on OpenTelemetry standards, collaborate across teams, and drive AIOps and cost-aware architectural decisions while mentoring engineers and advancing observability maturity globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience.
• 8+ years in Software/Platform Engineering, SRE, or Cloud Engineering with production-scale systems experience.
• Strong foundations in networking, security, and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate observability capabilities used by thousands of engineers.
• Engineer telemetry collection and pipelines; automate onboarding for observability out of the box.
• Define golden signals, SLIs/SLOs, and cost/cardinality optimization; mentor teams.
