Job summary

FieldAI Irvine seeks an experienced infrastructure engineer to design, deploy, and operate cloud and kubernetes platforms powering engineering and production workloads. You will advance CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows with ArgoCD, and observability across distributed systems, collaborating with software teams to raise reliability and developer velocity.

This role centers on AWS infrastructure, IaC (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation), and scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps‑focused software engineering.
• Hands‑on Kubernetes experience operating production systems at scale.
• Deep experience with AWS infrastructure including networking, IAM, compute, storage, and observability.
• Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation for IaC.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience designing distributed and event‑driven architectures.
• Ability to lead incident response and build CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or shared infra.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC tooling.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes platforms across cloud and internal environments.
• Develop and improve CI/CD systems and GitOps workflows with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Improve reliability, observability, and operational maturity of distributed systems.
• Debug and resolve production issues spanning infra, network, and deployment layers.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to boost developer productivity and deployment velocity.
• Implement monitoring, autoscaling, and incident response best practices.
