Job summary

FieldAI’s Irvine team is building field-ready AI systems for embodied robotics. This Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on Kubernetes, AWS cloud platforms, and robust CI/CD.

You will design and operate scalable, observable systems powering production workloads, collaborating with software and hardware teams to improve deployment velocity and reliability. You’ll work across IaC, GitOps, and observability stacks to drive end-to-end platform efficiency and resilience in a fast-growing robotics

Qualifications

• 10+ years in infrastructure engineering or DevOps roles.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience operating production systems at scale.
• Deep AWS experience (networking, IAM, compute, storage, observability).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Strong debugging and incident response skills across infra and app layers.
• Experience building CI/CD systems and deployment automation pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate AWS cloud infrastructure using CDK and Terraform.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes platforms across cloud and internal environments.
• Develop and improve CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Improve reliability, observability, and operational maturity across distributed systems.
• Debug and resolve production issues spanning application, infra, networking, and deployment layers.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve developer productivity and deployment velocity.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, autoscaling, and incident response best practices.
• Define infrastructure standards and deployment patterns as systems evolve.
