Job summary

Citrine Informatics is seeking a Senior Infrastructure / Platform Engineer to design, implement, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS. You will shape deployment pipelines, improve reliability, and partner with engineering teams to enhance platform capabilities.

The role emphasizes IaC, Kubernetes operations, CI/CD, and observability. You’ll work across Terraform, CloudFormation, Datadog, and containerized workloads to keep our production systems resilient as we grow.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• Hands-on AWS production experience, CloudFormation preferred.
• Proficient with Terraform beyond basics.
• Observability/monitoring experience, Datadog preferred.
• Kubernetes administration in production.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Experience designing infrastructure from planning to production.
• Adaptable to evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS-based cloud infra for scalability and reliability.
• Manage IaC with Terraform; CloudFormation experience.
• Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Improve platform tooling and deployment workflows.
• Implement observability and monitoring with Datadog.
• Manage container build and deployment pipelines.
• Create CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions (Jenkins/ArgoCD a plus).
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver infra solutions.
• Investigate issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in architectural planning and continuous improvement.
