Job summary

CB Smart Recruit in West Hollywood, CA is seeking a Senior/Lead/Principal Platform Engineer to own the cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platform, CI/CD and internal developer platform for production AI systems. This on-site role emphasizes ownership and cross-team collaboration with software and AI engineers.

The ideal candidate has deep cloud infrastructure experience, hands-on Kubernetes, and IaC with Terraform, plus strong experience delivering scalable, secure systems and improving developer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years building and operating production cloud infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps or SRE.
• Strong software engineering foundation with automation and tooling experience in Python/Go/Bash.
• Ownership of production Kubernetes clusters including design, upgrades, and scale.
• Experience Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and reusable modules.
• Deep experience with CI/CD and GitOps pipelines.
• Experience with GCP and/or AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with distributed systems and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure for production AI/ML workloads.
• Own Kubernetes infrastructure, including architecture, networking, security, upgrades, and reliability.
• Develop internal developer platform to improve productivity and deployment velocity.
• Create self-service infrastructure and automation for rapid shipping.
• Improve developer experience with platform engineering best practices.
• Lead incident response and drive reliability improvements across cloud, Kubernetes, and apps.
• Collaborate with AI/security teams on platform architecture decisions.
