Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced engineer for the Advanced Product and Solutions (APS) group in McKinney, TX to design, implement, and support mission-critical radar and surveillance systems. You will collaborate with cybersecurity, software, and systems teams to deliver secure, reliable infra and platform solutions onsite.

The role requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of related experience, plus a DoD Secret clearance. Relocation is possible; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Advanced degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux including installation, patching, system administration, and hardening per STIGs.
• Scripting in Bash and Python; Linux virtualization (KVM) and networking; Git, Jira, CI/CD tools.
• Experience with IaC and containerization using Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and implement solutions to optimize infrastructure operations for the AES Product Family.
• Analyze requirements for computer, server, network, and telecom systems.
• Design, implement, test, document, and support systems integration for mission-critical surveillance and targeting systems.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure security controls are met.
• Work with software and systems engineers to ensure performance and deployment compliance.
