Job summary

RTX in Plano, TX is seeking a Systems Test Engineer III to join a development team delivering a complex system of systems to the customer. You will operate radar test equipment, support test execution, and collaborate with engineers and leadership to maintain a systems-level perspective across integration, verification, and validation.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, flexibility for 1st/2nd shift, and an active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience with system integration and troubleshooting.
Flexibility to work 1st and 2nd shift to meet program requirements.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

Operate Radar test equipment and assist in system test execution ensuring the system meets specifications.
Work closely with the team and leadership.
Communicate daily with the test team as well as other engineers associated with test.
Maintain a systems-level perspective while supporting integration, verification, and validation activities.
Analyze system problems and communicate issues to the engineering team.
