Morgan Stanley’s Parametric IT team seeks a Lead Platform Engineer to empower cloud-native app developers, delivering high-velocity software with robust reliability. You will build reusable components, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and advance Kubernetes-based platforms to support business objectives.

Join a hybrid environment with on-site collaboration three days a week and flexible remote options, contributing to architecture evolution and developer experience improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of hands-on Platform Engineering (DevOps, SysOps, SRE) experience with leadership.
• 8+ years of cloud-native solution architectures and related platform support (Security, IAC, Observability).
• Lead strategic projects, provide architectural guidance, and align across teams.
• Mentor and develop less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and operate reliable, performant, robust, and secure applications.
• Act as technical lead for key initiatives and ensure delivery of business objectives.
• Mentor and coach team members on best practices and architecture.
• Collaborate with development teams to design highly available systems.
• Create workflows and tooling to enable faster, controlled delivery.
• Foster continuous experimentation and learning within the team.
• Evolve cloud-focused architecture for flexibility and ease of use.
• Stay current with technology trends and propose improvements.
• Share knowledge to improve processes and productivity.
• Provide escalations for complex issues.
