Morgan Stanley's Parametric IT team is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to partner with cloud-native development teams, enabling high-velocity software delivery and actionable feedback. You will create reusable components and workflows to improve developer experience.

Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on Platform Engineering (DevOps, SysOps, SRE) experience.
8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native solution architectures (AWS/Azure).
Serve as technical lead for strategic projects with architectural guidance.
Experience with AWS and/or Azure and IAC (Terraform) is required.

Responsibilities

Function as subject matter expert in delivering and operating reliable, secure applications.
Serve as a technical lead for initiatives, guiding architecture and best practices.
Mentor and develop team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Design, document, and maintain highly available systems.
Partner with application teams to create flows, automation, and tooling.
Foster continuous experimentation and learning.
Evolve cloud-focused architecture for flexibility and ease of use.
Follow tech trends and propose improvements to tooling and processes.
Share knowledge to improve processes and productivity.
Provide tier 2 and 3 escalations for related issues.
