Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to design and deliver deployment capabilities for the OCI developer platform. You will build reliable, secure workflows that help developers push changes safely across environments, partnering with product managers, security engineers, and SREs to turn platform needs into robust software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development delivering production-quality distributed systems or developer tools.
• Strong programming in Java, Go, C++, C#, Python or similar.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and service architectures for scalability, availability, security and operability.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native systems including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infra automation, or release engineering.
• Demonstrated ownership from problem definition through design, implementation, launch and operation.
• Clear written and verbal communication and collaboration across engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate core services and APIs for a modern application deployment platform on OCI.
• Deliver resilient, scalable deployment workflows enabling safe ship of changes across environments.
• Partner with product managers, architects, security engineers, SREs, and developer teams to translate needs into designs.
• Build safety and reliability by default: isolation, policy enforcement, auditability, observability, rollback paths.
• Develop platform primitives for AI- and agent-assisted workflows with proper controls and least-privilege access.
• Use operational signals and feedback to improve developer experience, performance, availability, and deployment success.
• Raise engineering bar through code/design reviews, documentation, mentoring, and leadership.
