Job summary

Arbor Education is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud services. You will own end-to-end delivery, ensure reliability, and collaborate with Product Managers and Tech Leads to align technical work with product strategy.

The role emphasizes platform reliability, blue-green deployments, and a culture of operational excellence. Strong AWS, Terraform, and observability experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive platform engineering experience on complex, scalable systems.
• Hands-on AWS and distributed cloud architecture expertise.
• Proficiency with Terraform and configuration management tools.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Go for automation.
• Experience with Java/C++ in OO codebases; enterprise scale a plus.
• Knowledge of observability platforms and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Design and contribute to scalable system architecture.
• Own services from design to production with observable SLIs/SLOs.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems; drive improvements.
• Develop and enforce CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing.
