Job summary

Knowmadics is seeking a Software Engineer IV, Platform in Lawton, OK to own end-to-end backend capabilities and APIs. You will work across services, data integrations, and infrastructure, delivering reliable, scalable solutions with mentorship and cross-team collaboration.

You will design and implement authentication, authorization, and secure data handling, while contributing to architecture decisions and production readiness. A strong skillset in Python and modern APIs is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• 5+ years in software engineering, backend, or data-intensive development.
• US security clearance eligibility; US citizenship required.
• Strong Python skills and API design experience with FastAPI or similar.
• Experience with relational databases, GIS tools, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end backend services, APIs, data models, and integrations.
• Lead multi-sprint architecture, design reviews, and planning.
• Develop secure auth, RBAC, and audit capabilities.
• Write tests and ensure clean, maintainable code with good docs.
• Collaborate with product, data scientists, and other engineers.
