Job summary

Knowmadics in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to lead frontend design for a data analytics platform, translating complex data workflows into clear, secure, production-ready interfaces.

You will mentor peers, maintain reusable components, ensure accessibility and performance, and collaborate with product, backend, ML, and operations teams to deliver reliable web experiences in cloud-native and air-gapped environments. This is a senior IC role with no direct reports.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of frontend or full-stack web applications experience.
• Senior individual contributor with mentorship responsibilities.
• Ability to translate specs into frontend design and implementation.
• Experience with React routing, state management, and data fetching.
• Experience with strongly typed APIs and generated client libraries.
• Experience defining automated frontend testing at multiple levels.
• Eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Review functional specifications and lead clarification with Product before implementation.
• Translate specs into frontend technical specifications covering user flows and components.
• Define scalable component boundaries, state patterns, and data access abstractions.
• Create and maintain frontend decision records documenting context and trade-offs.
• Guide data upload, ingest workflows, and data management UI.
• Ensure accessibility, performance, security, and quality across releases.
• Mentor peers and maintain frontend design system components.
• Collaborate with backend, ML, and operations teams on API contracts.
