Job summary

SelectCode UG is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own the architectural foundation for a scalable AI platform. You will drive reliability, performance, and operational clarity across the production stack.

You will design for real-time data processing, streaming LLM routing with fallback, and cost-aware decisions, while partnering with teams to keep interfaces simple and maintainable under load.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend platform engineering experience.
• Strong system design skills with clear reasoning about performance and cost.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and PostgreSQL with API best practices.
• Hands-on experience deploying with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience building observability and instrumentation for complex systems.
• Experience handling real-time data from multiple sources and LLM routing.
• Proven track record improving platform reliability under load.

Responsibilities

• Integrate AI products processing large data per action across sources in real time.
• Route streaming responses and LLM requests across providers with fallback and cost logic.
• Monitor latency, cost curves, and error rates; act to prevent degradation.
• Apply architectural judgment to keep designs simple and maintainable.
