Job summary

C3 AI in California is seeking Senior Software Engineers to join the Data organization within the Platform Engineering department. You will design, develop, and maintain features for a scalable AI/ML platform spanning data infrastructure, pipelines, and distributed systems, with multi-cloud readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• 5+ years in a fast-paced software company.
• Strong CS fundamentals and object-oriented design.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, C#, or Python; distributed systems exp.
• Experience with Git and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka and data tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop infrastructure for petabyte-scale data pipelines.
• Create abstractions over datastores like Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Snowflake.
• Develop file system abstractions over AWS S3, Azure Blobs, and HDFS.
• Build connectors to external data stores and analytics engines.
• Develop APIs for AI/ML applications and distributed computations.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver end-to-end platform features.
• Participate in agile processes and test-driven development.
