Job summary

Origence is seeking a Sr. Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain internal tooling and platform capabilities that accelerate software delivery. You will write production-grade code, design APIs, and implement automation across CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure.

The role focuses on Azure-based platform engineering, Terraform automation, and developer tooling, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET, Python, or TS/Node.js.
• Azure cloud experience with Container Apps and API Management.
• Experience with Terraform or IaC tools.
• Experience designing and building REST APIs or automation services.
• Experience with Generative AI techniques (GitHub Copilot, Prompt Engineering).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain YAML-based CI/CD pipeline templates in Azure DevOps used by dozens of teams and hundreds of services.
• Design and develop internal tools, CLIs, and REST APIs for self-service product development teams.
• Write and maintain Terraform modules for Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Extend and integrate Datadog monitoring, build dashboards, automate alerting, instrument telemetry.
• Help build Internal Developer Portal to give developers a unified view of services and health.
• Help legacy systems adopt modern CI/CD, Blue/Green deployments, and DR capabilities.
• Build automated compliance gates and security checks.
• Collaborate with product developers to understand workflows and deliver platform capabilities.
• Spend significant time designing and coding, with research into new tech and mentoring.
