Job summary

Recru is seeking a hands-on Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, operate, and continuously improve our enterprise software delivery platform. This role focuses on secure, scalable, and automated application delivery across engineering teams while driving platform reliability, operational excellence, and DevOps best practices.

The ideal candidate will own CI/CD platforms, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native support, partnering with software teams to enhance the developer experience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps Engineering, SRE, or Software Engineering.
• Proven experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise CI/CD platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or comparable CI/CD solutions.
• Strong understanding of software delivery, release management, and deployment automation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Experience supporting cloud-based environments in Azure, AWS, or other public cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, operate, and continuously improve our enterprise software delivery platform. This individual will play a key role in enabling secure, scalable, and automated application delivery across engineering teams while driving platform reliability, operational excellence, and DevOps best practices.

The ideal candidate has experience building and owning CI/CD platforms, implementing infrastructure automation, supporting cloud-native environments, and partnering closely with software engineering teams to improve the developer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support enterprise CI/CD platforms using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar technologies.
• Develop and maintain deployment automation, release workflows, and platform tooling that enable consistent software delivery.
• Establish and improve platform standards, governance, change management processes, and operational controls.
• Partner with engineering teams to drive DevOps adoption and platform engineering best practices.

Infrastructure & Automation

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools.
• Build automation for provisioning, configuration management, security controls, compliance reporting, and operational workflows.
• Integrate platform tooling through APIs and automated workflows.

Reliability & Operations

• Improve platform reliability, observability, resiliency, rollback capabilities, and disaster recovery processes.
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization activities.
• Develop operational dashboards, DORA metrics, and engineering performance reporting.

Security & DevSecOps

• Integrate and support security tooling including GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), SonarQube, JFrog, and related DevSecOps tooling.
• Partner with security and engineering teams to automate security controls and compliance requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Software Engineering.
• Proven experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise CI/CD platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or comparable CI/CD solutions.
• Strong understanding of software delivery, release management, and deployment automation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Experience supporting cloud-based environments in Azure, AWS, or other public cloud platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to articulate architectural decisions, platform ownership responsibilities, and operational support experience.

Nice-to-Have Platform Expertise

• Experience administering and supporting Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, or GKE).
• Experience with cluster operations, upgrades, security, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
• Experience building self‑service developer platforms and internal engineering tooling.
• Knowledge of DORA metrics, engineering productivity, and platform performance measurement.
