Job summary

Thomson Reuters in the United States is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer- Materia AI to help design, build, and evolve cloud-native platforms powering GenAI workflows for tax and accounting professionals.

You will mentor engineers, influence architecture, and drive best practices across Kubernetes, multi-cloud infrastructures, and CI/CD pipelines, delivering scalable, secure systems and developer experiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in backend development, platform engineering, production engineering, or SRE.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native platforms for scalable, reliable systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve cloud-native frameworks and platforms powering AI workloads.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines and tooling to enable developer productivity and rapid release cycles.
• Mentor engineers, drive best practices, and align with security and reliability objectives.
