Job summary

Thomson Reuters in New York seeks a Staff Platform Engineer- Materia AI to lead design and development of cloud-native platforms powering AI agents and automation for tax and accounting workflows. You will mentor engineers, influence architecture, and champion security and reliability at scale.

Collaborate with AI/ML, frontend, product, and SRE teams to build robust services and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Playwright, and Snyk.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend/ platform/SRE experience.
• Experience deploying and maintaining backend services and client interfaces.
• DNS/TLS troubleshooting experience.
• Cloud-native experience with Kubernetes/ECS, AWS, GCP, PostgreSQL.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Innovate with startup speed and enterprise scale in a global context.
• Deliver AI-driven backend services and orchestration systems.
• Collaborate across AI/ML, frontend, product, and SRE teams.
• Design and maintain reference CI/CD pipelines.
