Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking an experienced Sr. Platform Data Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate the data infrastructure behind CrowdStrike's analytics ecosystem.

You will own reliability, scalability, and performance of the data platform, collaborating across teams to drive efficient data workflows. You will work with Airflow, Superset, Terraform, DBT, OpenMetadata, Kubernetes, and Python to deliver secure, scalable data solutions in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (U.S. citizenship or permanent resident).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience.
• Advanced Python programming (5+ years).
• Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration.
• Strong experience deploying and managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud platform expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI including IAM, networking, and managed services.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency (Terraform).
• Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production.
• Knowledge and experience with DBT and OpenMetadata; SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with data security and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling (Airflow, Superset) in production.
• Manage IaC for data platform components using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows.
• Implement platform security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Develop data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata.
• Write efficient Python code for platform automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
