Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sr. Platform Data Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate the core data infrastructure underpinning CrowdStrike's analytics ecosystem.

This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure and data engineering, owning the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data platform. You will work with Airflow, Superset, Terraform, DBT, and OpenMetadata, write Python for automation, and mentor junior engineers while upholding security and compliance

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (U.S. citizenship or Green Card).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of combined infra and data engineering experience.
• Advanced Python programming (5+ years).
• Expert knowledge of Airflow deployment and administration.
• Experience with Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud platform experience across AWS/GCP/Azure/OCI including IAM.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency (Terraform).
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes or Docker.
• DBT and OpenMetadata experience; SQL and data modeling expertise.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling including Airflow and Superset.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code for data platform components using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows.
• Implement and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain data models using DBT and OpenMetadata catalog assets.
• Write efficient Python code for automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
