Job summary

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a Sr. Platform Data Engineer to architect and operate the core data infrastructure supporting the analytics ecosystem. You will own reliability, scalability, and performance of the data platform in a remote, senior role.

The role emphasizes Airflow, Superset, DBT, OpenMetadata, and Python development; requires CJIS clearance eligibility, 8+ years experience, and cloud-IaC expertise. Strong leadership and security posture are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience.
• Advanced Python programming (5+ years).
• Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration.
• Strong experience deploying and managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud platform expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI including IAM, networking, and managed services.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency.
• Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production.
• Knowledge and experience with DBT and OpenMetadata.
• SQL and data modeling expertise.
• Experience with data security and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling including Airflow, and Superset in production environments
• Manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for data platform components using Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflow deployments
• Implement and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards
• Develop and maintain data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata
• Write efficient Python code for platform automation and data processing
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
