Job summary

Google Cloud Platform invites a Platform Customer Engineer to partner with technical Sales teams, serving as the primary technical advisor to customers. You will troubleshoot, conduct proofs of concepts, and architect cross-pillar cloud solutions to meet business challenges.

You will focus on identifying, pursuing, and winning new workloads, while delivering on infrastructure modernization, data analytics, and security domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
• Experience with technical execution (coding, scripting, prototyping, or systems troubleshooting) in addition to solution design.
• Technical experience delivering cloud solutions within regulated environments, such as the Financial Services, Banking, or adjacent enterprise sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy, participating in planning and supporting business motions.
• Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture expertise to prove the value of Google Cloud Platform across the portfolio through complex demos, pilots and in-depth workshops.
• Architect cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define initial delivery plans for customers; continue to lead the technical engagement in the solution phase.
• Facilitate the post-sales transition by supporting pricing activities and transitioning the final delivery plan to implementation teams.
• Maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan, providing support to cross-functional teams during ramp, delivery, migration or implementation phases.
