Job summary

Pindrop is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Platform Core to own and evolve high-scale backend and data-layer services used by all products. You will manage distributed services, ensure reliability, and drive performance improvements across the stack.

You will collaborate with Product, SRE, and other engineering teams, participate in on-call, and mentor peers while advancing platform maturity and efficiency. This is a remote-first role with periodic on-sites in the US.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience building backend services and APIs in production.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or Go.
• Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and cloud-native development on AWS and/or GCP using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Proven production ownership, deployment, monitoring, and on-call experience.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or Aurora, Redis, and RabbitMQ, with reliability and performance tradeoffs in mind.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate distributed backend services and APIs that support high-volume customer interactions.
• Take end-to-end ownership of platform work from framing problems to deployment and production support.
• Improve reliability, scalability, latency, and cost across platform systems used across teams.
• Partner with Product, SRE, and engineering teams to deliver platform improvements without destabilizing traffic.
• Participate in on-call, incident response, troubleshooting, and improving alerting and runbooks.
