Job summary

Glenmede seeks a Director of Architecture and Engineering to lead a technologists team and drive modernization across CRM, data platforms and workflow systems. The role focuses on shaping the architecture, data foundation for AI, and governance across the organization.

You will partner with CTO, CISO and business partners to deliver scalable, secure and efficient technology solutions in a hybrid work setting from Philadelphia, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science or related field.
• 10+ years of technology experience with 5+ years in leadership of software development or platform engineering.
• Experience leading a technology organization of 10+ people.
• Strong hands-on architecture and engineering background across enterprise apps, cloud services, SaaS, APIs, middleware, data services and document platforms.
• Experience evaluating third‑party software and presenting buy vs. build recommendations with TCO analysis.
• Experience establishing data governance, including ownership, definitions, lineage and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee target-state architecture and roadmaps for CRM (Salesforce) and data platforms.
• Partner with security, infrastructure, and vendor teams to maintain cost-effective, risk-controlled ecosystem.
• Create structured accountability for delivery across engineering teams.
• Establish capacity planning, delivery commitments and metrics for initiative planning.
