Job summary

SailPoint Technologies Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and development of the Identity Security Platform, Atlas. You will bridge business goals with technical execution, shaping scalable microservices and infrastructure for SaaS products.

You will mentor teams, drive architectural decisions, focus on security, reliability, and performance, and collaborate with leaders across SailPoint to translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software platform architecture for large-scale SaaS systems.
• Deep understanding of modern technologies and rapid learning of new ones.
• Experience decomposing monoliths and moving to distributed systems.
• Product-minded approach with focus on customer value and outcomes.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture across SailPoint's SaaS Identity Security Platform.
• Translate business goals into actionable technical roadmaps for engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers, drive design reviews and code quality, and set engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product Management and executives to align architecture with strategy.
• Help establish scalable patterns and practices for reliability, security, and performance.
