Job summary

SailPoint is seeking a Principal Security Architect to build a mature cybersecurity architecture practice and guide strategic security initiatives. You will define reference architectures and roadmaps, align security with business goals, and mentor engineers across cybersecurity, IT, and engineering.

You will operate in a remote or Austin, TX-based role, collaborating with a high-caliber team to shape SailPoint's security posture and drive impactful architectural decisions across cloud,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, or security engineering.
• Deep expertise across multiple security domains (Cloud Security, Application Security, Identity Security, Network Security).
• Experience developing reference architectures and strategic roadmaps.
• Strong interpersonal and teaming skills with ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Help build and establish a mature cybersecurity architecture practice.
• Establish specialization domains across required cyber disciplines.
• Produce holistic architectures, reference architectures, and roadmaps.
• Bridge architecture and engineering with hands-on technical work.
• Review engagements to identify gaps and opportunities and surface risks.
• Secure leadership alignment and funding to fund prioritized opportunities.
• Lead hands-on projects and mentor other architects and engineers.
