Job summary

Citi is seeking a hands-on Senior Platform Architect in Irving, TX to own the end-to-end technical architecture of the platform. You will set engineering standards for a Java/Spring Boot microservices estate and lead AI-assisted development within a regulated banking environment.

You are the senior technical authority, capable of designing, coding when needed, and guiding others through architectural decisions and governance. This role demands leadership with hands-on delivery on critical paths.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 6+ years as an architect.
• Deep expertise in Java 17+ and Spring ecosystem.
• Proven design of microservices and event-driven systems.
• Strong Kubernetes/OpenShift and multi-cloud knowledge.
• Hands-on IaC and CI/CD experience in regulated environments.
• Experience using AI coding tools in delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end platform architecture across all layers.
• Define provisioning via IaC and reusable platform blueprints.
• Lead AI-assisted engineering adoption and governance.
• Mentor developers and participate in architecture reviews.
