Job summary

Citi is seeking a Principal AI Architect in New York to define and govern the enterprise AI architecture for autonomous agent systems. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle from design to production, aligning with business and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise software architecture and engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Defines and governs enterprise architecture for autonomous agent systems across Citi’s global technology footprint.
• Leads the Agent Architecture Review Board (AARB) and oversight of architecture reviews for high-risk AI agents.
• Translates field friction into core platform features with Arc Core, R2D2 Gateway, and Agentflow teams.
• Establishes standards for Model Context Protocol, zero-trust boundaries, and COIN M2M identity delegation.
• Sets governance, code quality, testability, and automated evaluation standards across Forward Deployed Engineering pods.
• Advises senior leadership on AI paradigms, non-deterministic validation, and foundation model capabilities.
