Citi is seeking an experienced Java Backend Development Lead in Irving, TX, to guide a team building AI-powered platforms. You will architect scalable microservices with Spring Boot, integrate ML models with data scientists, and own the full lifecycle of backend systems.

The role requires 6+ years in backend development, 3+ years in leadership, and strong skills in Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and APIs. Hybrid work, competitive compensation, and global collaboration are offered.

Formación

• 6+ years of backend software development experience with Java.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or lead role delivering complex projects.
• Extensive experience with the Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot, for microservices.
• Solid understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficient in designing RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with message brokers such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and Agile methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Architect robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate AI/ML models and deploy them in production.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and maintenance.
• Champion code quality, unit/integration testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Work with product managers and other teams to define requirements and priorities.
• Stay updated on AI, backend technologies, and best practices; prototype new ideas.
