Job summary

The supervisor directs OPTechs, manages startup/shutdown procedures, and ensures adherence to environmental and NERC permits while maintaining generation reliability.

Qualifications

• Four years of high school education as a baseline.
• Two years of experience as Assistant Plant Operator or equivalent in a generating plant.
• Preferred experience in combined cycle plant operations.
• Associate Degree in a technical field desirable.
• Must complete Operations Supervisor qualification card and Board Review.

Responsibilities

• Report upset conditions or anomalies to the Operations Manager and Owners; log entries and LOTO actions as required.
• Coordinate dispatch orders and requests to PJM with plant leadership and BETM.
• Operate control panels to regulate load, steam conditions, feedwater, and fuel for efficient combustion.
• Lead emergency operations and direct OpTechs to adjust plant conditions and chemistry as needed.
• Communicate plant status and risks in daily morning meetings with safety, environmental, production, and maintenance teams.
• Provide direction to maintenance personnel on emergent plant operations and ensure safe performance.
