Job summary

Arkema Inc. in Calvert City, Kentucky, is seeking a Staff Plant Instrument Engineer to provide instrumentation and control engineering support for safe, reliable plant operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve process performance, optimize control systems, and manage capital projects. The role offers opportunities to lead projects, enhance reliability, and contribute to safety initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 1 year of instrumentation and control system design or maintenance experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation and process control systems with ability to work with DCS/PLC/SIS.
• Excellent troubleshooting, multi-project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Improve and optimize process control systems to enhance plant performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Support DCS, PLC, SIS, and VSDs integration and maintenance.
• Identify and implement control strategy improvements.
• Lead instrumentation and controls projects from concept through startup and execution.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate contractors and internal resources to ensure successful delivery.
