Job summary

The Arkema Group in Alabama is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to join our IEC craft team. You will work with instrument, electrical and controls professionals to execute maintenance tasks, calibrations, and troubleshooting within a chemical manufacturing facility.

You will comply with HSEQ policies, participate in safety discussions, and support external contract resources as needed. A high school diploma and technical certification are required, plus OSHA CPR training and driving

Qualifications

Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
Technical certification in either industrial electrical/instrument/control/HVAC systems.
Annual OSHA-approved CPR training.
Minimum 5-years related experience and/or 2-years of college/trade school in addition to High School Diploma.
Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products (Word, Access, Excel).
Proficiency of plant specific software (CMMS, PI or similar).
Successful completion of aptitude and skills assessment, troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work well with other departments and in a team environment.
Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license with proficient driving skills and an acceptable driving record.
Self-motivation and ability to perform multiple tasks at once with minimum supervision

Responsibilities

Participate in IEC craft group maintenance activities and daily execution meetings.
Complete assigned work order tasks as per IEC craft schedule.
Support and perform instrument and electrical tasks as required.
Maintain safe, clean work environment per HSE procedures.
Attend educational workshops and review technical materials.
