Job summary
Arkema Inc. seeks a Staff Plant Instrument Engineer for our Calvert City, KY manufacturing site.
The role provides instrumentation and control engineering expertise to support safe, reliable operations, working with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve process performance and reliability. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 1 year of experience in instrumentation and control systems within an industrial setting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or another technical discipline.
- 1 year of experience in instrumentation and control system design, maintenance, or engineering in chemical, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Improve and optimize process control systems for plant performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Lead instrumentation and controls projects from concept development to startup.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Manage budgets and coordinate contractors and internal resources.
- Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting instrumentation and control issues.
- Support maintenance and operations in diagnosing equipment problems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to reliability improvements and instrumentation standards.
