Job summary

Eckceptional Search, LLC seeks a Plant Engineer in Wilson, NC to lead the maintenance and engineering team in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting. You will drive project execution and optimize equipment performance across the plant.

You’ll implement preventive and predictive maintenance, TPM, and other advanced maintenance strategies, while guiding a skilled team to deliver safe, efficient operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management or project leadership
• Strong leadership, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning and adaptability
• Advanced technical skills in mechanical and electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation) and leading resource planning in a large manufacturing environment
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, Preventive/Predictive Maintenance and TPM
• Ability to use exposure monitoring equipment and interpret results
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Clear written and oral communication, strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Own capital projects from concept to completion with scheduling to minimize disruption to plant operations and ensure safety and quality standards
• Develop and implement cutting-edge maintenance systems (Preventive/ Predictive Maintenance, TPM) for peak plant performance
• Lead maintenance team by delegating tasks, enforcing policies and guiding work assignments
• Provide short- and long-term solutions to daily operational challenges and equipment failures
• Track and drive KPIs for maintenance performance, equipment reliability and supplier performance
