Job summary

Genie Matthews and Associates seeks a Plant Engineer in Wilson, NC to lead maintenance and engineering for a fast-paced food manufacturing plant. You will drive capital projects from concept through completion while ensuring safety and food safety standards and high equipment uptime.

You will develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, TPM, and other high-impact strategies, guiding a team of engineers and technicians to optimize performance and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent combo of education/experience possible.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management or project leadership.
• High level leadership, planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning and adaptability.
• Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation) to lead manufacturing projects.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems, work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of capital projects from concept to completion with minimal plant disruption.
• Develop and implement maintenance systems including Preventive/Predictive Maintenance and TPM.
• Lead maintenance team, delegate tasks, enforce policies and guide assignments.
• Provide short-term fixes and long-term solutions to daily operational issues.
• Develop and track KPIs for equipment reliability, supplier performance, and OEE.
