Job summary

Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) seeks an Inspector III to conduct first-level plan reviews of factory-built structures, site-built hotels, and multifamily construction. The role includes evaluating code compliance across IRC, IBC, IECC, NEC, and HUD standards, with emphasis on quality control and technical guidance.

The Senior Plans Examiner will provide feedback, conduct plan re-reviews, and support audits and screenings.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in plumbing, electrical, plan reviews or building inspections.
• Experience in code compliance review and plan analysis is required.
• Ability to communicate technical information to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Verify architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing details in plans.
• Provide information and technical assistance to construction teams.
• Audit and review third party plans for compliance with major codes.
