Park County Government in Fairplay, Colorado is seeking an Inspector I-II in Development Services to perform basic to advanced inspections, review plans, and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. The role works under supervision by the Operations Director or designee and may provide guidance to Inspector I staff.

Inspector I requires construction experience; Inspector II adds certifications and leadership.

Formación

• Two to three years of experience in a trade or profession directly associated with construction practices.
• MHIP and HUD Certifications required after hire.
• IBC Building Inspector Certification within one year for Inspector II.
• NAWT Certification (or equivalent) within one year for wastewater inspection.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect buildings during construction for compliance with building codes and approved plans.
• Investigate complaints and inspect existing buildings for hazardous conditions.
• Inspect on-site wastewater systems and driveways.
• Process permit applications and review construction plans for code compliance.
• Prepare written reports and issue notices to correct violations.
• Assist the public and professionals on code and design requirements.
• Maintain records and reports of plan checking procedures and permits.
