Job summary

Mortenson Construction in Seattle is seeking a Planning and Scheduling Manager II to lead complex planning and scheduling across multiple projects. You will coordinate teams, ensure standards, and drive mitigation strategies under tight deadlines.

The role requires 10+ years in construction with strong scheduling expertise, plus the ability to travel as needed and mentor others in scheduling practices. This is a full-time on-site leadership position with Mortenson’s comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in CM/Engineering or HS diploma with CHST and OSHA 500 and 12 years of construction experience.
• Minimum ten years of construction experience; project manager or superintendent background desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, sequencing, and 4D visual planning.
• Strong skills in reading plans and specifications and identifying concerns.
• Experience with project management, contracts, and claims avoidance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and scheduling on multiple or large projects.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct scheduling activities.
• Ensure adherence to corporate planning standards across projects.
• Identify mitigations for scheduling problems and support site management.
• Coach and train team members in scheduling methods.
• Collaborate with Business Development on proposals and schedule risk.
• Support rollout of company-wide training and scheduling improvements.
• Build relationships across diverse teams and levels.
