Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Planning and Scheduling Manager to lead scheduling across large, complex projects. You will guide site teams and trade partners, monitor progress, and formulate mitigation plans while mentoring staff in scheduling methods.

You will collaborate with Business Development on pursuits and drive company-wide scheduling training and continuous improvement initiatives. A strong background in CPM, 4D planning, and cross-functional leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Eight+ years construction experience or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software.
• Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices, project sequencing and installation methods.
• Ability to lead independently and solve complex scheduling problems on large projects.
• Strong interpretation of drawings/documents and schedule interfaces.
• Experience with project management, buyout, and contracts.
• Familiarity with 4D visual planning methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate site teams and trade partners in developing schedules using CPM on large, complex projects.
• Monitor and update project schedules across multiple projects.
• Generate mitigation options and assist in planning corrective actions.
• Coach and mentor team members in scheduling methods.
• Collaborate with Business Development on proposals and schedule-driven pursuits.
• Roll out company-wide scheduling training plans and improve processes.
• Engage in cross-functional planning and best-practice sharing.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and levels.
