Job summary

WPP Media in Chicago is seeking an Associate Director of Planning to supervise all implementation needs and client communications. You will coordinate with global marketing teams and oversee staffing and workload at the client team level.

This role requires strategic rigor to integrate work between creative and media, and to drive 360 media planning across disciplines. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications; OR equivalent professional work experience.
• 5-8 years of account planning or related media/communications planning experience, with leadership.
• Experience facilitating ideation sessions.
• Excellent strategic thinking; strong client relationships and presenting to senior-level clients.
• Experience across multiple communications disciplines, including digital.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day client contact and agency contact regarding responsibility area.
• Oversee development of objectives, strategies, and plans for presentations.
• Supervise the team in interpretation of research data.
• Act as liaison between internal teams and partner vendors to ensure media performance.
• Integrate client and agency research into plans and deliverables.
