Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. in Piketon, Ohio, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and optimize facility piping systems, size equipment, and develop drawings and specifications.

This role involves performing flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and stress analyses while supporting safety reviews and commissioning activities. You will coordinate with QA, procurement, and field teams to ensure successful testing, inspection, and startup of systems across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of hands-on piping, fluid systems, or process equipment experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience with equipment sizing, calculations, relevant codes and safety practices, and drafting or analysis tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize facility piping systems and size mechanical equipment.
• Prepare and update technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and stress analyses.
• Support safety and quality reviews, procurement evaluations, and factory acceptance testing.
• Coordinate field inspections, commissioning, and system troubleshooting.
