Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Project Superintendent for the Louisiana LNG project near Lake Charles, LA. You will lead a team of craft professionals, coordinate subcontract activities, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on a major mid-scale LNG facility.

The role requires 8–14 years of relevant experience in heavy industrial construction, with strong leadership and technical skills in interpreting engineering designs and Bechtel standard processes. Relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8–14 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead team members effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Experience in heavy industrial direct-hire construction in a supervisory role.
• Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generation construction.
• Computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; familiar with industry codes and standards.
• Experience developing pneumatic and hydrotest packages and witnessing tests.
• Understanding of Bechtel work processes and BSAP tools.
• Field inspections involve extensive walking and working in high heat/humidity, ladders, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
• Ability to lift some weight and egress the project site.

Responsibilities

• Leadership / Supervision: Direct craft activities and schedules for up to 50 crafts.
• Planning / Productivity: Determine workforce requirements and coordinate area plans.
• Tools, Materials & Equipment: Monitor tool usage; prepare field material requisitions.
• Safety & Quality: Ensure design documents are current and changes approved; ensure subcontractors meet specs.
• Technical: Interpret engineering documents; oversee solutions with subcontractors and foremen.
