Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a senior piping engineer to perform advanced evaluations of piping systems in nuclear and other complex facilities. You will prepare calculations, reviews, and design inputs while guiding multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of ASME codes, material specs, and project budgeting and scheduling. The position supports hybrid onsite work, with compensation and benefits described, including potential discretionary bonuses and a focus on career development

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree with emphasis in solid mechanics and finite element analysis.
• 5+ years of relevant piping engineering experience.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and BPV Section III piping codes.
• Ability to review designs, prepare specs, and perform calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex calculations for piping systems.
• Review and develop P&IDs and Master Diagrams with input.
• Prepare equipment and material specifications.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and work plans for simple projects.
• Communicate clearly in meetings and deliver concise analyses.
