Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Utilize fundamental mechanical engineering concepts to complete assignments from design through operation.
• Lead mechanical design, analysis, and construction of fluid cooling piping systems for accelerators.
• Participate in and lead general mechanical-system design, thermal-fluid design, piping flow analysis, and heat transfer analysis.
• Learn existing accelerator fluid systems and provide operations support by troubleshooting and upgrading.
• Design compressible and incompressible thermal fluids systems for accelerator needs.
• Direct the activities of drafters, designers, technicians, and skilled trades; communicate with vendors via specifications and drawings.
